Salem Balhamer Holding Group organized a training course on the basics of sign language for its employees, in partnership with the Saudi Society for Hearing Impairment in Dammam. The course aimed to prepare human cadres (professionals – administrators) who are able to translate into sign language with high professionalism, and to train and qualify workers on how to deal with deaf and hard-of-hearing people during service, according to the latest global trends in this field.
The organization of this course comes in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, regarding the need to train employees of government and private sectors in sign language. Serving the deaf, and facilitating the process of communicating with them. It also comes within the community initiatives that Salem Balhamer Holding Group used to implement periodically based on its responsibility towards society.
